How can I insert doors in a room dividing wall?

Hello,

I am new with Dialux. This software is convenient and powerfull, I appreciate it Thanks to the developers.

I am doing my first simulation. I have to create a 14m X 18m room with interior dividing walls. There are doors in these walls. My questions are :
- what is the best way to create interior dividing walls? I use extrusion volume, is there another method?
- how can I insert or simulate doors in theses walls?
- is it possible to set if the door is opened or closed?

Hello ericb,

To construct a dividing wall I would use a cube or an extrusion volume.

You can import a door by inserting a cube/extrusion volume with a door texture in this wall. You can find some example textures in DIALux.

"- is it possible to set if the door is opened or closed?"

Unfortunately, it is not possible. But you can construct it as an opened or closed door.

Thank you for your quick and very helpful reply The picture is very clear.

However, I still have a question : how do you create the void in your extrusion volume (that is the dividing wall)? Personaly, I create several extrusion volumes and I set different heights, but your picture shows that you don't process like this, because you have only two objects in the project manager.

I have used the subtract funtion to create this void in the extrusion volume.
