Dear all,

I am new to DIALux. I want to insert my own designed luminaire with all specifications. Please help me and tell me how can I create a new database file for my luminaire, what should be its format and what specifications are required.

Thanks and regards,
Varun

At first your luminaire must be measured.
If you have the values of your luminaire you have to create the .ies file by using this standard :

Thanks Matorie,

Thanks for the link and info.

I have Integrating Sphere for flux, CCT, CRI etc. measurements. LED light angles can be decided by optical lens used. Is there any other simple way to simulate output of my luminaire?
Is the ies file the only solution of doing this?
