Glass in windows is tinted red, why?

Post by thorfun » Thu Sep 17, 2020 2:43 pm

Hi all,
this is my first post here. I've managed to get this far without needing help from the forum but I can't figure out why the windows in my building are a bright red colour! the only way I can stop it is by selecting 'no glass' in the Facade Elements -> Layer Configuration option.

I can't seem to figure out how to add a screenshot to be able to show it visually.

I hope someone can help as all the video tutorials I've watched when a window is added the glass looks clear but for me it looks red. in a similar red to when you view the working planes.

if someone can tell me how to attach an image I can add that as I'm sure that will help.

many thanks in advance.

Hi. thank you for that link, I hadn't seen that thread and I am indeed using Fusion to run Dialux on a Win 10 VM.

I'll try booting directly to the bootcamp drive and see if that resolves the issue.

I do hope that this will be fixed as Fusion is my choice of VM software on my Mac and it saves me having to reboot my machine to switch between MacOS and Windows.

The problem seems to be solved in 9.1.
No more red windows.

I am using 9.1 and still have red windows. maybe we have different settings in our VMs? but it's definitely not working for me. I have now moved to Parallels where I don't have red windows but I do have rendering issues where the space between my 2 floors keeps disappearing which is frustrating.

I had to add something to the registry, but I can't remember what it was.
One of the Dial team will be able to advise you.
After that's done, it works fine.
