Import 3ds file

I have a 3ds file with me. I tried to import it and it was successful. The size was about 400 MB. The issue was I was not able to zoom the building as the building appeared very big in size. When I tried to import the light fitting it showed the position in lakhs. Can you please tell me why this is happening. Please refer to the below images and clarify my doubt ASAP
Luminaire added and the height showing is very high

CTRL + CLICK ON SCROLL > try to zoom

Is it possible to import an IFC-file in an already existing project?

I can open the IFC-file, but I cannot open the file into my already started project.
